Mums first Halloween with baby
Having a new baby for Halloween can be fun for mum here are some tips for you to enjoy your night. While your baby is sleeping one of our personalised baby clothes or not needing your full attention here are some tips on how to carve a pumpkin, how to make a lovely cup of hot chocolate, some great Halloween movies to watch and some popular sweets.
Remember if you want trick or treaters leave your pumpkin in the window with the tea light on.
How to carve a large pumpkin
First Step
Use a large serrated knife to cut of the crown (top of the pumpkin) of the pumpkin
Second step
Use a large serving spoon and scoop out the seeds and fibre and discard. The remove all the flesh.
Third Step
Using a marker pen draw an outline for the face of the pumpkin. Using a serrated knife to cut out the mouth, nose and eyes. Remember to always cut away from yourself in case the knife slips.
Fourth Step
You can now place a tea light inside the pumpkin and put the crown back on (the top bit of the pumpkin)
How make the best hot chocolate
Step 1
Make sure you have Chopped chocolate, double cream, marshmallows and small amount of grated chocolate.
Step 2
Pour the chopped chocolate, milk and double into a pan, bring gently to boil while whisking till its smooth.
Step 3
Serve in individual cups or mugs then add the marshmallows and a little bit of grated chocolate and also whipped cream.
